Give your agent hands in one line
October 29, 2026
Coding agents are great inside a repo. The moment a task leaves the terminal, they stop: they can't click the setting in your app, check the result in the simulator, or file the bug in the tool your team uses.
ands is an MCP server that closes that gap.
Install
In Claude Code:
claude mcp add ands -- npx -y andsh mcp
For other clients, ands mcp --config codex (or cursor, vscode, claude-desktop) prints the exact snippet to paste.
What the agent gets
ands_lookreturns an app as an accessibility tree, where every button and field has a ref like@s7k2:e14.ands_actclicks, types, selects or scrolls on a ref.ands_press,ands_apps,ands_clipboardandands_screenshotcover keys, windows, the clipboard and the rare case where the tree isn't enough.ands_dohands over a whole task in plain words. ands does it with its own model through OpenRouter, so your agent's context stays clean.
Approvals still go to a person
Every call is sorted into read, change or sensitive before it reaches the engine. When a client supports MCP elicitation, the question shows up right inside it. Otherwise ands opens a system dialog, so even an agent running in the background can't approve itself.
Try it
Ask your agent: "Open my app, turn on dark mode and tell me if the sidebar text is still readable." Then watch it look, click, and stop to ask you before anything sensitive.
