AI for students: let it run the admin, not write the paper

Downloading every assignment, filling the calendar with exam dates, organizing lecture files. An AI agent for the parts of studying that aren’t studying.

October 31, 2026

Studying takes time. So does everything around it: finding the right file on the course site, downloading 14 PDFs one by one, copying exam dates into a calendar, renaming "Lecture (3) final FINAL.pdf". That second part is what an AI agent is for.

Things to ask

  • "Download every file from the Statistics course site into my Semester 1 folder."
  • "Put all the exam dates from this PDF in my calendar with a reminder a week before."
  • "Rename the lecture files by number and date."
  • "Sum up lecture 7’s slides on one page so I know what to review."
  • "Open assignment 3 on Moodle and upload my paper." It stops before the final click.

How it works

You type or say the request, in English or Hebrew. ands shows a short plan, you say go, and you watch an orange hand do it in your own browser, signed in as you. Anything that sends, submits or uploads waits for your click.

Where to draw the line

Use the agent for the work around the work. Your graded work is yours: many courses forbid AI writing it, and you’re there to learn. A summary to help you review is a study aid. A paper written for you is not. If in doubt, ask your lecturer.

Why students like it

No setup, no prompts to learn, no coding. You talk to it like a friend who is very fast with a mouse. More ideas on ands for students, and the general guide: How to automate repetitive computer tasks.

Questions

Organizing files, downloading materials and filling your calendar isn’t. Writing your graded work for you usually is. Check your course rules, and use the agent for the admin.

No. Uploading and submitting are sensitive steps, so ands stops and waits for your click.
